Óscar Déniz Suárez

His research interests are mainly focused on computer vision and pattern recognition. He is the author of more than 80 refereed papers in impact journals. He has served as visiting researcher at Carnegie Mellon University (USA), Imperial College London (UK) and Leica Biosystems (Ireland). Currently, he is a Full Professor at UCLM and contributes to VISILAB. He is a Senior Member of IEEE, and Associate Editor of journal Image and Vision Computing (Elsevier). He has been the Coordinator of European H2020 Project «Eyes of Things» (Google Internet of Things Technology Research Award 2016, HiPEAC Tech Transfer Award 2018, Electronic Components and Systems Innovation Award 2019 by the European Commission) and partner in EU projects BONSEYES (Horizon 2020) and dAIEdge (Horizon Europe). Reviewer/Technical Expert for the European Commission, Eureka/Eurostars, the European Science Foundation and for R&D agencies of multiple European states.
